Clothing

There is a great selection of clothing shops on Bank Street; here are some of our favourites:

Sunday Best is an up-market clothing store who has been on Bank Street since 1971 supplying ranges which include Vivienne Westwood, Hunter, and much more!

SugarHoneys Boutique is becoming one of the UK’s leading online fashion retailers, offering on-trend clothing and accessories at affordable prices.

Rags Boutique over the road is a super little shop, they have a niche on dressing all different body shapes and sizes; luxurious knitwear and silks, looking and feeling expensive but very affordable. Whatever you are looking for you’ll be sure to find it on Bank Street, Rawtenstall.

NuShu is a fantastic little boutique with amazing shoes and handbags. Brands include Fiorelli, Mischa, Poetic Licence and Ravel.

 

Fresh Produce

Rawtenstall Market at the end of Bank Street boasts a wide selection of stalls providing fantastic fresh produce such as vegetables, fruits, meats and cheeses.  The market is open Thursdays and Saturdays.

If you are visiting Bank Street and the market is not open why not stop off at The Country Garden for local produce.

Mark Harrison Butchers offer a wide selection of locally sourced meats, home cured hams, homemade sausages and burgers (including gluten-free options).  There is also a delicatessen offering a selection of cheeses, homemade pates and chutneys and pies and also a selection of free range hen and duck eggs.  Orders may be phoned through for collection.

 

Charity

Bank Street has a number of charity shops with some hidden gems.  Rossendale Hospice, Mind, RSPCA and Age UK have stores on the street.  Grab yourself a designer bargain in one of the charity shop, lots of clothes and other items still with the tags on!

 

Health and Beauty

Bank Street and the surrounding area has an amazing selection of health stores, hair dressers, beauty parlours, and tanning salons for you to choose from.

There is a Boots store at the start of Bank Street, the car park is closed at the moment but there is ample parking in and around Rawtenstall.

The Health Store is a quaint shop located on Bank Street who provide all the vitamins and supplements you could need, plus much more!

Hairdressers and Beauty Parlours on Bank Street and the surrounding area are plentiful and differ greatly.

HeadMasters on Kay Street are a fantastic salon; you could spend hours in here being pampered and come away feeling amazing!

Mitchell’s Hair Salon on Newchurch Street is another fantastic hairdressers and beauty parlour. Great girls here, and you’ll come away feeling great and with a smile on your face.

Tufties are moving to the old Rams Head pub at the end of Bank Street, near the Market. The building looks fantastic!

On Bank Street itself there is a wide choice, Head-Wiigs, Antony & Patricia, The Hair Lounge, The Powder Room, Polished, to name a few.

Do you need a bit of colour to go with your new ‘do’, then pop into the Tanning Centre and top up on your tan.

 

Gift Shops

Bank Street is just the place to be to pick up that perfect gift for your loved ones or maybe treat yourself to something unique.

Strawberry Blue. The enticingly named Strawberry Blue is a dream come true for those searching for wonderfully special gifts, collectables and scrumptious chocolate treats!

Luv’in It is a new shop on Bank Street, supplying shabby chic gifts and larger furniture.

The Card Centre have a wonderful choice of cards, wrapping paper and gift boxes plus a great range of gifts.

 

Electric Cigarettes

E-quit has recently opened on the street, providing high quality vapour smoking products, starter kits, batteries, flavoured liquids and more!

Rossendale Vapour has a stall on Rawtenstall Market on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Liberty Flights also have a store on the street.

 

Feeling hungry?

There are some amazing places to eat on Bank Street!

Pay a visit to Nate at The Deli for a nice lunch or a coffee and a cake (gluten free and meat free options available). At the deli, they are passionate about food.  All of the cakes, bakes, soups and pies are made on the premises. They have recently launched a range of pickles, preserves and chutneys.  If you are in a rush they also offer food and drinks to take away!

Got a sweet tooth? Go and visit Cherry’s on Ormerod Street half way down Bank Street, an American style milkshake parlour with amazing shakes, cupcakes and cookies. A local delivery service is available. Cherry’s also provide occasion cakes made to order.

A Right Royal Teaparty is a quaint tea house also on Ormerod Street, a great atmosphere and fantastic food!

Fig Tree Café is a nice little place hosting a wonderful selection of light bites, gourmet sandwiches and meals. Guaranteed service with a smile, and is a Wifi hotspot.

Do Dah’s at the end of Bank Street is the largest place to eat on the street, covering two floors. They stock a range of speciality drinks, whether it is a regular coffee, flavoured coffee, luxury hot chocolate or a herbal infusion tea you’ll find something here that is just right.

Barlow’s Café is in Rawtenstall Market provides home-cooked fresh foods, indoor/outdoor seating. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere with great food, great service and great prices!

Cordey’s Bakery provide quality breads and cakes as well as hot bacon sandwiches and steak Canadian’s.  A catering service is also available.

Greggs have a small store on Bank Street providing the usual hot and cold sandwiches, pasties, sausage rolls, etc.

Mannings Bakery offer top quality cakes, sandwiches and pastries.

 

Bank Street and the surrounding area has the most amazing shops, and set in a valley of Rossendale’s green hills, Rawtenstall truly is a wonderful place to shop and a great day out!
